Peter Eller: Artist—Oil Paintings and Mixed Media

... The interplay of light and forms surrounding me provoked my sensitivity and compelled me to create.

... The complexity of my art constitutes an abstract iconography. I push the painting beyond the boundaries of the realm, to create atmosphere, condition and feeling.
I mystify the image rather than to clarify it.
I see my work as a passage from one intellectual state to another, and from a place to a space. I lift the level of the physical execution to one of a conceptual performance. My art is not simply “retinal”.
I attempt to transform the retinal perception of beauty into a sublime and dialectic experience of the mind—simply stated—to engage the viewer as a voyeur.

... Art work. What does it remind you of—ordinary things, actions, memory and some idea? Can you connect it to some idea how life is (or should be), about time, memory, death, politics, sex, space, language, sanity, dreams, chaos, aesthetics?

... Does it “speak”" to you? Is it like your life? Is it offensive, friendly, scary, cute, elusive, beautiful, silly, mysterious, a fake, absolutely right but...?
